FC Barcelona vs. Bayern Munich: How to watch UEFA Champions League ...

1. Explosive start by both sides:

Both sides began this exciting encounter in a brilliant style as Bayern were looking for a high intense press. These sides together have won this prestigious competition 5 times each which is 10 Champions League together. The encounter began with both teams looking to go all out against each other to gain momentum. Bayern got an early lead in a counter-attack when Perisic began the run and crossed deep. Lewandowski and Muller combined well as the Polish striker made it easier for the German to set-up and score to give an excellent start. Setien's men reacted when Jordi Alba dashed towards the box and passed towards Suarez. Alaba, facing his own goal took a heavy touch and scored in the back of his net. This game is looking very exciting.

2. Bayern's intense press goes on:

The Bavarians wasted no time in terrorizing Barca's weak defense as they looked to penetrate very easily. Semedo looked helpless as the Catalans looked clueless as what was going on around them. Bayern reacted when Gnabry intercepted and passed the ball to Perisic and struck a shot as the ball touched Ter-Stegen and made its way into the net.

Barca looked clueless at the moment as Flick's men made the Catalans night miserable when Thiago and Goretzka combined well to set-up Gnabry who lashed a powerful strike to extend the lead for his side. Barca looked done and dusted as their hopes of reaching semis looked like a mountain to climb.

3. Bavarians continue the onslaught:

In what was expected as a promising start by the Catalans, the game turned tides as Bayern ruthlessly began to score successive goals. The competition favorites looked in the mood as they began to look very dangerously against Barcelona's defense who have seemed to lose their spark in the recent seasons. Flick's men had many chances to score as many goals as their intense pressing tempted Barca's backline to falter and barely escaping more humiliation.

The German outfit embarrassed the Catalans further as Perisic's cross was received by Lewandowski which was not quite well initially until Kimmich received the ball and returned it towards Muller who scored the goal to increase the lead for his side. This game was similar to the 2014 World Cup semi-finals.

4. Barcelona suffers further humiliation:

The young Canadian left-back has been very promising and has certainly lived up to his expectations. He also seems to be a long term successor for David Alaba without a doubt. His pace has been causing problems to Barcelona as he was a menace to them. The Catalans scored their second when Suarez sent Boateng the other way and scored with his weaker foot to put the ball behind the net. Their temporary relief was shortcut as Davies dashed towards the box face-to-face with Semedo and easily sent him the wrong way to set-up Kimmich who scored the 5th goal for his side.

In simple words, Barca was doomed as Lewandowski scored an easy header thanks to Coutinho's assist. It wasn't over for them as the Catalans were left wonderstruck as Messi lost the ball that went to Muller and he slipped the ball towards Coutinho and the Brazilian scored against his parent club. Setien's men were done for good when Tolisso set-up for Coutinho who scored the second of the night to embarrass the Spanish giants.

Overall, Barcelona suffered their worst humiliation as they were battered by a Bayern side who were unstoppable in their game. The final score ended 8-2 towards the Bavarians thanks to a master class display by them. Bayern took an early lead thanks to Muller and began to press even more intensely. Barcelona equalized thanks to an own goal by Alaba. But after that, it was the German side who looked ruthless and thumped Barca in a very brutal manner with Muller scoring his second. Gnabry, Kimmich, Lewandowski got into the scoresheet as well. The Catalans had no answer for their opponents and to add more humiliation, Coutinho came on and scored two goals against his parent club.  A masterclass performance by Flick's men as they booked their place in the semis.
