As we witnessed the first big fixture of Manchester City and Arsenal, there is a list of competitive fixtures that were yet to be played. It was more exciting as the next fixture of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs. With Liverpool close to achieving the dream, this fixture was the ultimatum that decided the fate of the title. Similarly for Chelsea, a win against Pep's men would boost their hopes of qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League.  This encounter was always expected to be entertaining whenever teams from the big 6 played against each other. Red Devils Vs The Lilywhites  The Premier League is indeed very exciting without a doubt and finally, it made its return with 2 exciting fixtures for the week. One of the big fixtures was the encounter between The Gunners and The Citizens as all fans were eager to see who would win this exciting contest. At the end of the day, Pep's men claimed all 3 points against his former protege Mikel Arteta and completed the double over the North London Derby. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Premier League committee gave the green light to restart the games on the condition that games should be played behind closed doors. It was really strange to see a Premier League fixture without spectators. As new rules were introduced to maintain social distancing such as maintaining distance before entering the pitch, no handshakes before kick-off, etc, the opening fixture was played between Aston Villa and Sheffield United. The match did end in a draw, there was a bit of controversy surrounding the goal-line technology. The Blades had their goal disallowed after the referee's watch showed no goal only for the replay to show that the ball crossed the line.
